Grown Outdoors for Northern Conditions

Pause Lavender Farm is a certified Michigan nursery on the Stonington Peninsula in Rapid River.

Our lavender is grown outdoors here in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, not kept exclusively in protected greenhouse conditions.

We select and propagate from plants that have performed well through real northern weather and U.P. winters.

We have spent more than a decade studying lavender and established Delta County’s first lavender farm in 2019.

Spring 2027 lavender plants will ship or be locally delivered in May, timed around the Upper Peninsula’s last frost and spring planting conditions.

Do you ship nationwide?

Yes. Nationwide shipping is available for lavender starter plants and bundles.

Is local delivery available?

Free scheduled delivery is available throughout Delta County, with delivery available to select Upper Peninsula communities.

Can spring weather affect timing?

Yes. Shipping or local delivery may shift slightly if spring conditions are not yet appropriate for planting.

Why Pause Lavender Farm?

Pause Lavender Farm is a certified Michigan nursery on the Stonington Peninsula in Rapid River.

We established Delta County’s first lavender farm in 2019 and have spent more than a decade studying lavender, testing varieties, and learning what performs well in northern growing conditions.

We grow using organic practices and a pollinator-friendly approach to small-scale farming.

Our goal is not to grow the most lavender possible. It is to grow healthy plants thoughtfully while protecting the wildlife habitat around our farm.
